Shipping and Returns
Free delivery in Lethbridge, AB
If you are in within the city limits of Lethbridge, I will be happy to deliver to your home. If you have a specific time that you will be home that I can drop it off, please let me know in the comments of your order and I will try to accommodate. If I cannot, I will deliver during my next delivery run. If you have a Lethbridge shipping address in your order, we will refund your shipping in full and deliver to the listed shipping address.
Shipping rates within Canada
We offer $7.50 flat rate shipping within Canada, and a $5 flat rate within Alberta. There are locations in the Canadian Territories and some provinces that are substantially more expensive than the rest of Canada. I will notify you by email if your shipping location falls into that category, and offer you shipping at a price equal to the difference between my standard shipping charges and the charges applicable to your location. If you decide that you don't want to have it shipped to that location, I will happily refund your money and cancel the order. I wish it were some other way of doing it, but it is a massive country, and I am pretty much tied to Canada Post's prices and they are the only economical way for me to ship. I generally ship within 2 business days, but if there is any reason why I cannot make that happen, I will email you to let you know. New straight razors usually ship in 3-5 business days, as I need time to hone them and clean them before sending them to you. This is time well spent, as you will receive a shave ready and clean razor to use!
If your order equals or exceeds $75.00, we are happy to provide free shipping, contingent on the above mentioned exclusion of remote addresses. Again, if your address falls into that category, I will give you the option to pay the additional cost or have your purchase refunded.
Express shipping is available on a per order basis. Please email me if you would like an express shipping quote.
Shipping to Continental United States
Shipping to the continental US is a flat rate of $10.00 CAD. This service will be small packet, which does not come with a tracking number. To keep this service economical, orders must be limited to 1 Kg. If your order is above that, we can discuss other shipping options. If you would like a more express shipping option, I would be more than happy to give you a quote on a case by case basis.

This is one area of the process where I have little control. It is in the hands of the delivery service. Any guarantees towards delivery times will be subject to the carriers terms and conditions. Here are some average delivery times (normal business days) across Canada:
Calgary and Edmonton : 2 Days
Vancouver: 4 Days
GTA: 5-6 Days
Atlantic Canada: 7 Days
Delivery of Damaged Goods or Failed Delivery
Canada post is generally a very reliable and quality delivery service. However, things do happen. Hasn't happened to me, but there is always the chance. If your parcel is damaged, please contact me right away at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know. If the contents inside are all in working order and undamaged, then you can thankfully just enjoy your new purchase. If there is damage, I will initiate an insurance claim and ship you a replacement. Replacement is subject to availability, and I will do my best to get you the product if it is no longer in stock. If that isn't possible, I will give you other options for equal value products. In other words, I will do whatever I can to make it right. In the case of failed delivery, product will be returned to Canadian Blade Company by Canada Post with extra shipping charges. If that happens, I will contact you and either arrange additional shipping for additional cost including any incurred charges, or provide a refund (less the cost of incurred return charges).

Shipping of Alcohol Based Products
ReturnsYou have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging. Since I must open the packages of straight razors to inspect and hone them, this is a bit different. I will still accept a return, but it must be unused. I will inspect the edge and the blade itself for signs of use. I reserve the right to refuse returns if I detect signs of use. If you are simply unhappy with your straight razor after you've use it for a while, please let me know. I will be happy to call you and see if I can help you out with the process at all. I want you to love the experience, and I will do whatever I can to help you.
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of our refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment), less any adjustment in shipping fees due to reduced order amount. For example, if you get free shipping with a $90 order, and then return $20 of items, you will be refunded $12.50 since the order no longer qualifies for free shipping. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's or PayPal's policies.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. It is highly advisable to choose a shipping method with tracking and insurance. We cannot be held responsible for items that do not make it to our location.
If you contact me before I ship you product, I will be able to cancel your order and refund your money, no questions asked. If it is already shipped, regular return policy will apply.
Damage Due to Weather
Canadian Blade Company takes assumes no responsibility for damage to items due to weather. Soaps left sitting in PO boxes in very hot weather may soften and change consistency, and liquid products may freeze in the colder months.
